[City as Verb] Reinterpreting 2019 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism
From the Curator:
Seoul is transforming itself from a city marked by indiscriminate urban development coupled with dull and lifeless architecture into a sustainable city that can keep up with the changing times.At this point, we cannot help but ask fundamental questions related to the nature of cities: Who makes a city? How should a city evolve? How can we understand a city? The Review Exhibition of the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism is our attempt to answer these questions.We hope that this exhibition will allow our visitors to experience the unrelenting dynamics of rapidly changing global cities that resemble Seoul, while providing them with opportunities to contemplate ways to participate in the evolution of the city.
