Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city, will be one of 80 cities around the world represented at this year’s Seoul Biennale, and MIIM is proud to have been chosen for the honor. We’ll explore the unique morphology of KL, whose cacophony and unrelenting assemblages of disparate parts at all scales form a complex socio-cultural milieu that cannot be pigeonholed into traditional urban planning axioms. Check out our KL exhibition at the 2019 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, which opens officially on Sep. 7!
The Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism is hosted by the City of Seoul and encompasses a wide range of fields – from sociology, geography, and economics to literature, art, theater, and film – to engage in the present and future cities of the world. Seeking innovative design and policy alternatives, the Seoul Biennale actively collaborates with members of the public, experts, artists, architects, and policy makers.
